WHAT IS A
BLIND SPOT
BRAND AUDIT?
Sometimes you don't need another strategy.
You need an outside perspective on what's actually happening.
The Blind Spot Brand Audit is a focused strategic review designed to uncover what's being overlooked, challenge existing assumptions, and identify opportunities for stronger positioning and clearer communication.
Rather than jumping straight to solutions, we look at the foundations underneath them — and ask whether the problem you're trying to solve is actually the problem that needs solving.
What We Look At
We look across the six Blind Spot lenses to understand where clarity may be missing, assumptions may be shaping decisions, or opportunities may be going unnoticed.
01 IDENTITY
Who are you?
What does the business stand for, where is it heading, and what makes it worth building?
02 AUDIENCE
Who are you trying to serve?
Who matters most, what do they care about, and how do they make decisions?
03 Territory
Where can you create meaningful advantage?
Where can the business create distinctive value that people genuinely care about?
04 Positioning
Why should someone choose you?
What role does the business occupy in the minds of its audience, and what makes it meaningfully different?
05 Narrative
How do you make people care?
How does the business turn its strategy into a story people can understand and remember?
06 Expression
How should that strategy come to life?
How should the underlying strategy translate into branding, messaging, marketing, content and experience?
What You will Receive
The Blind Spot Brand Audit gives you an outside perspective on the foundations shaping your brand — and a clearer understanding of where the real opportunities may lie.
You'll receive a focused strategic assessment across the six Blind Spot lenses, highlighting areas of strength, tension, inconsistency and opportunity.
The goal isn't to give you a list of things to fix.
It's to give you a clearer view of what may actually need fixing.
A CLEARER PICTURE
Understand what's working, what's unclear, and where assumptions may be getting in the way.
AN OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE
Challenge the thinking from inside the business with an independent strategic point of view.
DIRECTION FOR WHAT COMES NEXT
Identify the areas worth exploring before investing in further strategy, branding or marketing.
01 — Intake
Give us the context.
Tell us about your business, what you're working through, what's prompting you to seek an outside perspective, and what you believe isn't working.
You'll also have the opportunity to share relevant existing materials.
How It works
A focused, asynchronous process designed to give you an outside perspective without adding another complicated strategy exercise.
You provide the context. We do the thinking. You receive the findings.
02 — Audit
We look beneath the obvious.
We review your brand across the six Blind Spot lenses, looking for gaps, tensions, inconsistencies, assumptions and opportunities.
If something needs clarification, we'll reach out by email.
03 — Findings
See what may be missing.
You'll receive a focused strategic assessment highlighting what we're seeing, what may be worth questioning, and where we think you should look next.
The audit may resolve the question you came in with — or reveal a more important one.

Who Is This For
BUILDING SOMETHING NEW
You're developing a new brand, offer, or direction and want to pressure-test the thinking before you invest in execution.
SOMETHING ISN'T ADDING UP
The business is moving, but the positioning, messaging, audience or brand doesn't feel as clear or distinctive as it should.
YOU NEED AN OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE
You've been too close to the problem and want someone independent to challenge the assumptions shaping your decisions.
You don't need to arrive with the right question. That's part of what the audit is for.
A focused strategic review designed to uncover what's being overlooked, challenge existing assumptions, and identify opportunities for stronger positioning and clearer communication.
Asynchronous by default. Written findings delivered within 5 business days.
-
Your audit will be delivered within 5 business days of receiving your completed intake and the relevant materials needed to conduct the review.
-
You'll complete a short intake questionnaire covering your business, audience, current situation, and what prompted you to seek an outside perspective.
You'll also have the opportunity to share relevant existing materials such as brand guidelines, positioning documents, pitch decks, customer research or marketing materials.
You don't need to send us your entire company archive. We'll let you know if anything additional would be useful.
-
No.
The audit can be useful whether you're building something new, redefining an existing brand, or trying to understand why something isn't working.
The questions we explore will adapt to the context of your business.
-
No. The Blind Spot Brand Audit is designed as an asynchronous engagement.
We'll communicate primarily through the intake and email. If we need clarification while conducting the audit, we'll reach out.
In rare cases where something can't be adequately clarified in writing, we may request a short conversation to ensure we're working from the right context.
-
The audit is designed to give you a clearer understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface — and where to look next.
Sometimes that clarity is enough to move forward independently.
If the audit identifies an opportunity for deeper strategic work, we may recommend Blind Spot Advisory or a Blind Spot Brand Intensive based on what we've uncovered.
Any further work is scoped separately according to your needs.
-
Yes, but the Audit comes first.
We use the audit as the diagnostic starting point for deeper strategic engagements. This means any subsequent Advisory or Intensive work is based on what we've actually uncovered, rather than assuming what the problem is before we've investigated it.
The Audit tells us where to look. The next engagement determines what we do about it.
